Course Contents

This course is designed to help you prepare for the Pearson Test of English (Academic). The PTE-A is a leading computer-based academic English language test for international study, and is used for assessment and accreditation by educational institutions and companies in Turkey. The courses provide specific practice and tips on how to approach the exam and what to expect. They are not designed to improve your level of English, but instead focus exclusively on the skills needed for the exam.

The courses deal with a variety of exam focus areas including

• Essay writing language and technique

• Proficiency in all 4 language areas - reading, listening, writing and speaking

• Dealing with the 4 communicative skills in an integrated manner

• Advice and practice of reading and listening skills

• Summarizing spoken text

Course Levels

English Istanbul runs the PTEPreparation course at Upper-Intermediate 1 and above.

 

Course Materials

 

Your teacher will provide materials taken from The Official Guide to Pearson Test of English Academic in your lessons, but will also provide extra activities and materials to help you and your classmates get more practice in the areas you need to focus on. Course Duration and Lesson Times 

Each course takes 9 weeks to complete and contains a total of 54 hours. Classes are held on the following days and times:
